The 12th Man was formed at the back end of 2009 by Andrew Helgesen and Julian Burley. The 12th Man aims to raise money by organising events, joining affiliate programmes and accepting donations. We came to the conclusion that increasing the clubs income was possible if things were done correctly, and despite the low numbers at the first ever meeting, we continued to discuss what we could do.
Why not help the 12th man start ringing the changes?
What do you do with your old mobile phones? Leave it laying around in a draw? Throw it into a recycling scheme bin? Pretend one day you’ll get it fixed, but never quite get round to it?
There’s no need to do any of those things anymore. Why not let the 12th Man have it? That way you’ll be helping Lincoln City Football Club directly as we can use it to get additional funds for our cause. So if the 12th Man can use your old mobile to raise funds for the club, whether it’s damaged or not, then why not donate!
There are two ways you can help. The first way is to go to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/the12thman and donate the phone yourself on there. Each user can donate one phone and not only will you raise £1.75 for the 12th Man, but you’ll get the phones value for yourself.
Alternatively you can give you old phone directly to the 12th Man team, and this way we would receive the full amount from your donation. Andy Helguson, Jules Burley or Gary Hutchinson are all available on match days so you could pass them on to them. If you don’t know any of the guys then just pop into the office on matchday and leave it with them. There will be a drop box in the office from the Shrewsbury game next Tuesday.
Perhaps you’d like to post them to us? If so send them to The 12th Man, Sincil Bank Stadium, Lincoln, LN5 8LD.
Together the 12th man and the wonderful fans can start to raise some vital funding for the club.
